A small number identifier (the “[ID]” in _ga_[ID]) is unique to our Google Analytics property. Meta also sets a related cookie, _fbc, when you arrive via a Facebook or Instagram ad click — it is only set alongside _fbp, under the same consent condition.
3. Types of cookies we use
Essential cookies
These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off. They are usually set in response to actions you take, such as setting your privacy preferences or filling in forms. Without these cookies, services you have asked for cannot be provided.
Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with our website. This helps us improve the user experience and our services. Analytics cookies are only set after you have given your consent via our cookie banner.
The information collected includes pages visited, time spent on pages, how you arrived at our website, and (via Microsoft Clarity) anonymised session recordings and click heatmaps. This data is aggregated and, where possible, anonymised — we do not use it to identify you personally.
Advertising cookies
We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure the performance of our Facebook and Instagram advertising and to build advertising audiences for future campaigns. We also use Google Ads conversion tracking, which relies on Google's Consent Mode and only stores identifying cookies once you accept non-essential cookies — otherwise it sends cookieless, aggregated conversion signals only. Advertising cookies are only set after you have given your consent via our cookie banner.
Payment cookies
When you proceed to pay for a certificate booking, Stripe (our payment processor) sets cookies to prevent fraud and ensure your payment is processed securely. These cookies are set by Stripe's domain and are governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.
4. Cookies we do not use
We do not use:
- Cookies from any provider not disclosed in Section 2 above
- Cookies that sell or share your data with data brokers
- Cookies that track you across unrelated third-party websites for purposes beyond the advertising and analytics uses described in this policy
5. Managing your cookie preferences
Our cookie banner
When you first visit our website, a cookie banner appears at the bottom of the screen. You can choose to accept or decline non-essential cookies — declining prevents analytics and advertising cookies (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Meta Pixel) from loading at all. Your preference is saved for 12 months.
To change your preference at any time, clear your browser cookies and revisit the site — the banner will reappear.
Browser settings
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
